Purozo – Changing the Way Luxury Care Home Group Cleans
Purozo is helping a luxury care home group to deliver eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning solutions at its portfolio of homes across the UK.
Dedicated supplier of Tersano’s revolutionary cleaning products to UK care homes and independent schools, these products enable users to convert tap water into a powerful and effective cleaning solution, significantly reducing the need for toxic chemicals.
The luxury care home group, Dormy Care Communities, owns and runs a group of luxury care homes in Wales, Hampshire, Dorset and Hereford.
Purozo’s role is to consult and supply Dormy Care with safe, effective and environmentally-friendly cleaning solutions for their homes, including their new £12 million luxury Foxhunters care home, which recently opened in Abergavenny.
As part of the agreement, Purozo are also advising on cleaning solutions and supplying cleaning products to Dormy Care’s latest multi-million pound home – Brockington House, which recently opened in Hereford this August.
All Dormy Care homes have Tersano’s Lotus Pro installed. The Lotus Pro is a powerful stabiliser unit that is permanently fixed to the wall and creates a chemical-free cleaning solution called Stabilised Aqueous Ozone (SAO).
Stabilised Aqueous Ozone is a highly effective cleaner and sanitiser that can kill up to 99.999% of harmful bacteria without the use of toxic chemicals. Invented by Tersano, cold water is added to the Lotus Pro’s stabilisation module compartment. It passes through to the main unit, where 4,500 volts of electricity is added. This converts the O2 into O3, creating SAO. The Aqueous Ozone cleaning solution can remain stabilised for up to 24 hours, during which time it clings to dirt, grime and bacteria, killing 99.999% of harmful contaminants. After 24 hours is up, it simply reverts back to normal water and oxygen and you can pour it away without any harm to the environment.
Managing Director of Purozo Chris Speak, said:
“Care homes and other businesses and organisations switching to the innovative cleaning solutions we provide save money, improve safety and significantly reduce the impact they have on the environment,”
“It means that there is little need to buy, store or use toxic cleaning chemicals, cutting down the cost of cleaning, as well as improving safety and the home’s carbon footprint.”
Mr Speak says that the fact that SAO kills 99.999% of harmful bacteria is vital for infection control in care homes and helps them meet strict hygiene regulations. SAO is food safe, so can be used in kitchens and is cost-effective, saving care homes, companies and organisations switching to it between 60-80% on their cleaning costs. He said the partnership with Dormy Care Communities is already bearing fruit.
“We are delighted to be working with and aligned to such a forward-thinking company such as Dormy Care Communities,” said Mr Speak.
“They are leading the way in shaping the future of the private care home sector with their innovative and state-of-the art homes. They are designed with the care and requirements of the ladies and gentlemen who live in their communities in mind, down to the littlest detail.
“Part of their objective with the new Foxhunters home in Abergavenny was to reduce their carbon footprint and be as environmentally friendly as possible. They have the highest CQC rating possible – which evaluates the hygiene of homes, providing cleanliness ratings based on strict criteria. This demonstrates that our environmentally-friendly, cost-effective cleaning solutions provide homes with the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene without costing the Earth.”
Wendy Westbury, Director of Sales and Marketing for Dormy Care Communities, said:
“Dormy Care is committed to being socially responsible and we ensure that all our buildings are as energy efficient and environmentally friendly as possible. Our partnership with Purozo enables us to realise our goals. All our homes have been fitted with the Lotus Pro system, providing staff with an effective, safe and eco-friendly cleaning solution. This ensures the highest hygiene standards are met and that there are no toxic cleaning chemicals within the home.”
